Childhood Vacation Film Recipe Gallery

For this round of our community challenge, we asked you to shoot withthe nostalgic and heavily stylised Childhood Vacation film recipe. This recipe gives a look similar to aged prints and reminds us of vacations taken as children, or perhaps even old photos from our family albums.

Just before we scroll to see the images, a reminder that our challenge is open to all readers, so that means we’d love you to enter too. Each challenge runs for around two weeks and the latest one is detailed in the box below…

Childhood Vacation by Darren Urda

Darren’s local coast area was a great place to show off Childhood Vacation, and give us a nostalgia toned view of this part of Australia.

Childhood Vacation by Marcel Fraij

You can always rely on Marcel for a creative and artistic take on the challenge. In this edition he mixed Childhood Vacation with one of his own recipes, Blck, which you can see on his website.

Childhood Vacation by Sabrina Magnusson

Sabrina shared a bumper crop of photos this time around, and appropriately enough, they were from her vacation.

Childhood Vacation by Emlyn H Jones

Emlyn took us out and about with the challenge recipe, capturing some green scenes. He also captured the spirit of the recipe, with some remembered scenes from childhood times. Wonderful.

Childhood Vacation by Tirzo J Flores

Tirzo shared just one image in teh challenge, but I liked the nostalgic vacation feel of a guy with his dog. A simple summer memory in the spirit of the recipe.

Childhood Vacation by David Forsdike

David is a regular contributor and challenge entrant, and once again we are treated to scenes from rural France. In this set, the nostalgia shines through with the overexposure and Childhood Vacation film recipe. I especially like the red tones on the 2CV.

Childhood Vacation by FujiGrapher

We end our gallery round up with a reminder that you don’t need to follow the recipe exactly to join in. If, like FujiGrapher, you have a X-T30, or maybe an X-T3 or X100F, you can adapt the recipe to your camera sensor and take part anyway. In this case, we’re using Classic Chrome instead of Classic Negative.
