Film recipes based on the Classic Chrome film simulation
One of the killer features of Fujifilm cameras is the Classic Chrome film simulation. Using the unmatched expertise of the Fujifilm colour scientists, they have provided us with a film simulation that delivers a retro vibe with a stong Kodachrome aesthetic. Of course, that last part is never mentioned officially!
Used without any adjustments, the Classic Chrome simulation produces wonderful images with a distinctive look. But, it’s also a versatile base from which to generate a wide range of soft tones and nostalgic styles. Here are my recipes built from Classic Chrome.

Classic Chrome is one of the most commonly used film simulations, appearing in a wide range of film recipes from other creators. These include some of the most popular recipes for Kodakchrome style images, and some of those in a Kodak Portra Style. In fact, it wouldn’t be too much of a stretch to think of the Classic Chrome simulation as Kodachrome mode for Fujifilm cameras.
