Age of Aquarius User Images Gallery

In early February 2023, the Film Recipes challenge recipe was Age of Aquarius, a mellow toned Classic Negative film recipe for Fujifilm X Series cameras.

This recipe was designed in the European winter with low sunlight and faded vegatation tones. It responds well to creamy tones and any available sunlight.

However, our intrepid photographer readers took the recipe out in all conditions and climates, with a mix of urban and wilder scenes. Enjoy this great selection, and if you are inspired, see below for details of the current challenge that you can enter too.

Embrace a film-like look and join in with the Film Recipes Challenge 📸 Take photos with the Flatpack film recipe, and share them in the Film Recipes Facebook Group or the comments on the recipe page. This recipe is based on film prints in a matte low contrast style. Join in from where you live with a deadline of end of 29th March. #flatpack 👍

Age of Aquarius by TheCameraEatsFirst

Our first selection is from a regular contributor that sends in selections from wherever she happens to be during the challenge submission period. This time, we get to visit Mexico with its vibrant colours and beautiful nature.

Age of Aquarius by Sabrina Magnusson (1/2)

Sabrina sent us a broad selection of images this time around, so I’ve grouped them in two sets. In this first set, we’re off to absorb a dose of culture.

Age of Aquarius by Rafael Pereira

Film recipes can by great fun to play with when travelling, and in this wonderful set, we take a city tour with Age of Aquarius. I love the blue skies in this selection.

Age of Aquarius by Projek Hm

It’s great to see how users of other cameras adapt film recipes, and in this set taken on X-T3, Classic Negative was swapped for Pro Neg Std.

Age of Aquarius by Michael Win

We’re travelling again, and for this set, we’re visiting Heidelberg, Germany and a wonderful old castle. There’s so much interesting history in this set, as well as spendid views.

Age of Aquarius by Kamil Szlachta

This time, Kamil Szlachta has shared views from an Austrian railway station that is being remodelled. Some parts are still standing, with others already gone.

Age of Aquarius by Gordon Ovenshine

The winter weather has arrived in Pennsylvania, and this great set from Gordon has a wintry vibe.

Age of Aquarius by David Forsdike

I love it when two photographers from different parts of the world take a similar photo at the same time. This has happened with the first of David’s images looking similar the last of Gordon’s above.

Age of Aquarius by Darren Urda (1/2)

Darren was one the first to submit a selection for the Age of Aquarius challenge, and then he sent in another later on. Here’s a few from the first set, with a second selection further down the page.

Age of Aquiarius by Ana Flavia Feliciano

It may be winter in my country, but with Ana Flavia Feliciano, it’s the summertime and in this set we get a taste of the warmth from down in Australia.

Age of Aquarius by Sabrina Magnusson (2/2)

Here’s a second selection from Sabrina, one of our talented regular contributors.

Age of Aquarius by Darren Urda (2/2)

Finishing up our bumper gallery this time is Darren Urda with a second submission for this challenge. In this nautical set, I particular like the yellow catamaran which has a lovely faded tone with Age of Aquarius.

As always, a huge THANK YOU goes out to all our challenge entrants, and I know you’ll agree that the images are fantastic. The next step is for you to join in, and share your images in the Film Recipes Challenge. See you then!
