The phone app for X-Trans IV film recipes on Apple and Android devices
I am working on an app that will bring the recipes from this site onto your phone for easy access on the go. This is a new project for me, having never made anything like it before. When it’s ready, I hope to provide it on the two main app stores.
It costs money for the various licenses and hosting to do this, so it’s my intention for the app to be available for a modest fee. As a bonus for the payment, the Film Recipes app will contain a good number of exclusive app only recipes, as well as early release previews of the recipes coming soon to the site.
Development of the app is continuing! I have found a way to get it published at a reasonable cost, so hopefully, it won’t be long now that I can share more news.
Here’s the list of recipes that are presently exclusive to app users, providing additional looks for their X-Trans IV and compatible cameras. Some will appear as full recipe pages on the site in the coming weeks, but a proportion will remain app exclusives for app subscribers.
Which cameras do these recipes work with?
Just a reminder that these recipes are fully compatible with recent X-Trans IV cameras, such as X-T4, X-S10, X-T30 II and X-E4. Many recipes are compatible with X-Pro3 and X100V (the recipes that don’t use Eterna Bleach Bypass). Everything will also work on new X-Trans V cameras, like the X-H2 or X-T5, although I don’t yet have any Nostalgic Negative recipes. If you have an older camera, you should be aware that you will need to adapt recipes to your camera, and many will not work because of the settings and simulations used.
