Here’s a selection of the submissions for the Heart of Gold film recipe challenge, that ran in March 2023. See all the galleries from previous challenges here.

Heart of Gold by Kay Zer

I’m a sucker for animal photos, and in this selection we get both the golden light that this recipe loves, and some cool animals too!

Heart of Gold by Sabrina Magnusson

Sabrina tried out the recipe in pale winter sunlight, and shares these Danish scenes in square format.

Heart of Gold by Gordon Ovenshine

We’re off to the mall with Gordon this time around, and I particularly like the loight pool from the mall window.

Heart of Gold by Sam McFie

Here’s a selection by a first time challenge contributor. It’s always wonderful to see images being shared by people new to our group challenges.

Heart of Gold by Tin Htoo Khaing

Another cool selection from a new photographer to our challenges. I love the feeel of the recipe in these tropical city conditions.

Heart of Gold by Richard Fudge

We don’t get many snow days where I live, so I am always extra happy to see snow scenes in our challenge.

Heart of Gold by Tony Saunders

Tony is back with us again for another lovely gallery. This time we’re on the water in the last light of the day.

Heart of Gold, adapted by Kostiantyn Nesenko

IF you have an older camera, you can often still try the film recipes on this site, adapting htem with the settings that your sensor has. In this set, Kostiantyn has adapted Heart of Gold for his XT100.

Heart of Gold by Desmond Painter

Desmond joins us from Cape Town with a selection of Heart of Gold images from a walk around his neighbourhood.

Heart of Gold by Darren Urda

Darren is a regular contributor, sharing his images from Australia. We can be sure than when it’s gloomy where we live, that Darren will find the sunlight and post a wonderful selection.

That rounds up our user gallery selection for the Heart of Gold challenge. It’s been another great couple of weeks, with some truly beautiful images. I’m inspired, and if you are too, then why not join in with the current round of the challenge. Here are the details once again …
