Film Recipes for Winter

Film recipes suited to winter photography, and weather such as snow, ice, frost and fog

The winter months offer some wonderful photographic opportunities. The longer golden hour and lower sun angle extends the sweet spot for capturing beautiful light. There’s the beauty of frost and fog that transform well known places into brand new locations. And of course, nature is changing too, with the bare bones of trees revealing new details and textures for us to photograph.

Here is a selection of my film recipes, that I feel work well in the winter. Some were designed specifically for it, such as Vinterskog and Vinterkrom, whereas some others just happen to work well with the muted palette of winter.
