Classic Print Film Recipe Gallery

Another round of the Film Recipes Challenge has ended, and this time our photographic community was trying out the Classic Negative recipe, Classic Print. This recipe aims to present a style similar to printed photos, rediscovered after some years hiding in a drawer or shoebox.

As always, our images come from around the world and in a variety of styles. Enjoy scrolling down to see the submissions, and if you’d like to see your work in one of these user galleries, here are details of how to join the challenge…

Classic Print by David Forsdike (1/3)

It’s fair to say that David has once again really embraced the challenge and shared several sets of images in our Facebook Group. His galleries from the South of France are always wonderful, and this time is no exception.

Classic Print by Ken MacGray

Ken is a regular contributor in our Facebook group, sharing images from his walks around New England. He prefers natural look film recipes, and it’s a treat to have him share some images for this challenge.

Classic Print by Marcel Fraij

Marcel is a photographer and recipe creator, with two recipes on this site, including his latest one, Re-Analog. His style is inspiring, and he always seems to find a new creative angle with his images.

Classic Print by David Forsdike (2/3)

Here’s David’s second set, featuring a delicious looking lunch.

Classic Print by M Mohanram

If you ever shoot with Classic Negative, it’s great to find something red to include in your images. For a nostalgic recipe, a red vintage car is just perfect.

Classic Print by Melbourne Galvez

Time for a couple of single image submissions now, and this shot by Melbourne Galvez caught my eye. It’s a view in the Philippines looking over a dramatic watery seascape.

Classic Print by Mono Solo

City streets are an interesting subject, especially for people that don’t live in the same country. This is Makati Avenue, Philippines. It’s interesting to see cities from all around the world.

Classic Print by Sabrina Magnusson

Spring has arrived in Denmark and Sabrina’s gold shoes are back out for the season.

Classic Print by Hannah Vo

Hannah has been for coffee and took the opportunity to try Classic Print in indoor artificial light. The recipe has a fixed colour balance, so looks very warm inside.

Classic Print by David Forsdike (3/3)

To finish up our Classic Print gallery, we return to the selections provided by David. There are plenty more images for you to view in David’s posts in our Facebook group, but here’s a few more to enjoy here and now.

As always, I am grateful to all of our readers that share their images. It’s inspiring to me to see your photos with the film recipes, and to see how you interpret their style. I’d love to see your images too, so if you’d like to join in, see the info panel below.
