To finish up Feb ’23, I ran the film recipes challenge with a retro themed classic chrome, Kodachrome Classic. This is a recipe for a punchy kodak stlye, which gives a strong prominence to the nostalgic tones that can be generated with Classic Chrome.
There was an excellent turn out for the challenge with several people joining for the first time. This gave us a selection of over 100 photos, which I have grouped and curated here.
It’s so exciting to see everyone’s contributions, and especially that we can tour the world with our global gang of Fujifilm photographers. a big thanks go out to all contributors in this round of our challenge.

Kodachrome Classic by Andrew Gundershaug
To start us off, here’s a wonderfully varied selection of images from Andrew Gundershaug that really go to show the versatility of Kodachrome Classic film recipe.

Kodachrome Classic by Kay Zer
I just love urban images taken at night or as the last light in the sky is fading away. This set by Kay Zer gives us a view of another dimension to this recipe.

Kodachrome Classic by Tony Saunders
The beach is a great place to take photos, and with a bit of thought, you can capture a really creative set of images. This set proves this, with a fabulous selection on a stormy day.

Kodachrome Classic by TheCameraEatsFirst
Our regular contributor has shared a second wonderful set with us from her trip to Mexico. You can see the other set on the Age of Aquarius gallery page. I especially love the skies in these images.

Kodachrome Classic by Darren Urda
It’s always a joy to see Darren’s submissions in our film recipe challenge. He sends in shots from multiple locations, showing the versatility of the recipe in different conditions. And, for hose of us in the cold North, some summer sun from his home area in Australia.

Kodachrome Classic by Paolo Teves
I’m always happy to see people adapt my film recipes for their cameras. Paolo has done this, adapting for his XT20.

Kodachrome Classic by Sabrina Magnusson
Of all our submissions this time, Sabrina’s shots from Denmark feel the most like Kodachrome film photos to me. I love the blues and creams in these winter scenes.

Kodachrome Classic by Gordon Ovenshine
Gordon is a regular contributor to our challenges and in our Facebook group. For this round of the challenge, we get to seee Kodachrome Classic in cloudy conditions.

Kodachrome Classic by David Forsdike
David has shared some beautiful floral images in this selection, showing a bright a cheery character to this classic chrome recipe. It’s not all sunshine and flowers however, with our second set of stromy day beach scenes in this challenge gallery.

Kodachrome Classic by Michael Win
I love seeing your beautiful travel photos in the challenges, and for this round, Michael takes us on a trip to the scenic old cities of Strasbourg and Colmar.

Kodachrome Classic by Chuck Riley
Chuck sent in a single image for the recipe challenge, but it’s a fun one, capturing these two ducks in flight.

Kodachrome Classic by Josh Chanin
Another single image submission, and this time we gaze out through a cafe window. I always think this is a great spot for taking images.

Kodachrome Classic by Iain McKelvie
This is another excellent adaptation of the recipe, this time for XT3. I love the tones in this image from under a bridge alongside a canal.

Kodachrome Classic by Jun Jun Dolloso
We finish up this bumper selection of Kodachrome Classic images with a beautiful sunset captured by Jun Jun. A fitting end to this wonderful selection of user photos.

I hope you are inspired by all the wonderful images you see here, and will consider joining in with the next round of the film recipes challenge. Details are below, and I look forward to seeing your photos!
