When I travel into a city, I still have my photography itch, and will often go for an early walk from my hotel before breakfast. Golden hour in an urban environment is often quite different in feel to the mornings and evenings in my usual forests and country lanes, so I’ve put together a recipe for such occasions.

I’ve looked to captured the harder brightness of a city environment, along with the creamy Kodak vibes of the Portra style. The result is this urbex film recipe for taking city walks and street photos in a Kodak Portra style.

  1. At last, two recipes (Kodak Portra Urban & Classic Print) that to me encompass both urban and landscape, and capable as demonstrated of being used throughout the day. Being this versatile makes recipe decision making so much simpler, and I believe allow interchangeability in telling the photographers story. Many congratulations on these, and hopefully more to come. looking forward to the announcement on your App release.

    • Thank you Ron. It’s great to hear your persepctives. I’m so addicted to the early and late light that I rarely shoot in other parts of the day. Oh, and the app … yes, I have it more or less ready, but getting it to the app stores has a tone of steps whichI am getting ready for. Thanks for your patience! 😊
