Film recipes using the Eterna Bleach Bypass film simulation
Eterna Bleach Bypass is a more extreme simulation — the bleach bypass process it references was a darkroom technique that retained silver alongside the colour dyes, producing desaturated, high-contrast results with a gritty, almost metallic quality. Fujifilm’s digital version captures that character well.
Recipes on this simulation tend towards the moody and atmospheric. The desaturated base makes strong colour shifts more interesting rather than garish, and the natural contrast of the simulation does a lot of the heavy lifting. It’s a strong base for cinematic, urban and experimental looks.
Sixty Eterna Bleach Bypass recipes ranked by user favouriting, drawn from both the site and the Film Recipes App. The app holds a considerably larger EBB collection than the site — app-only recipes are included and labelled. Available on cameras from Generation 4 onwards.
